First of all thanks Deceptikon. Secondly, I know I said in my previous post that I could have gotten the transend cheaper. And for the record many more than just one of the reviews on it were from 6000 owners. That being said I did buy this system for school but just because I am a student does not mean I do not work full time. So To reitereate I went with the company I was more comfortable with and knew from experience I could put my faith in. I never said the transend wouldn't work and I also never said that the crucial was better. I said that was where I was comfortable making my purchase. And as my first post stated I will be living in Cairo for the next year so it gets a little more complicated when it comes to RMAing components when they don't work out. Once again thanks for information but don't tell me I wasted my money. Have you tried the crucial? If not then maybe you should wait to hear what I have to say about it before you criticise.

please dont comment on things you dont know about.

i understand your need for something dependable, which is why you went pwith the crucial. so good luck to you in cairo. enjoy your time there.

from my personal experience, and others...with todays manufaturers and techs, everything is about the same. im sure you wouldnt of had any trouobles with the transcend. i was never critisizing you though, just telling you what i thought.

I wasn't saying you haven't owned crucial. I said, "Have you tried the crucial." Anyway point is I wasn't saying you were right or wrong. Thanks for your input though. That is why I asked. And yeah Cairo should be a pretty good time. Maybe once I get there I'll put some pics up of the place so you guys can see what it's like. I was supposed to be leaving on the 19th for Cairo but it looks like I may be getting to go back to the states for a couple of weeks before I head out. That would be awesome since my system is supposed to be delivered on the 22nd. I could have it for X-mas.

It shipped! I just checked the status and they say it shipped. Not bad, ordered on the 11th and ships on the 15th. It wasn't set to ship until the 20th. Now my new system will be waiting for me when I get off the plane on monday.
