Hey guys, so my Inspiron 9100 just died last week. Lights come up and fans spin up, but the screen is black and there's no HD activity at all. I've had the thing for about 1 yr, 9 months and am out of the warranty period. I'm debating whether to try replacing the motherboard thru eBay or a repair shop, sending it into Dell, or just going ahead and upgrading to a Inspiron 9300. The problem with upgrading is that I don't feel there's really been a technology breakpoint yet for me to benefit much from upgrading, aside from video card benchmarks. What do you guys think?
