I tried that. EPP Customer Numbers/Order Numbers won't work. At least it didn't for me.

didn't work for me either. oh well.

I'm hoping when I wake up tomorrow I see "out for delivery" on the UPS website... then I'm calling in to work. Or I may just work until lunch as UPS usually comes to my house around 3pm.

UPS hasn't updated my package since they got it. Still says in transit and on time for a scheduled delivery 12/13. I think they ship from Tennesee for US, so that isn't far, just wish I could see where it is. Oh well.

Is there a link on that page under your tracking # that says "show package progress"?
Mine is coming from Texas.

Mine is supposed to be here either tommorrow or the next day. I cant wait. Starting to doubt my choice of the WUGA though...

Know the feeling

Crap guys, I just ordered mine on sunday. I've got weeks to wait. I picked up the 7800, 130w power brick and 2 gig from newegg too. I got all them before the lappy. Now they sit on my desk mocking me. I was fine until all the stuff arrived, but now I can't even sleep at night. We need to start a support group, maybe with a 12 step program.

I just ordered mine today expected ship date 12/21/05
9300/1.7/UXGA/512mb/256 Geforce6800/60gb 5400/abg+bt/6cell/2 year war. = $1286.

Got 2gb and hitachi 100gb 7.2k on my desk at work (unfortunatly I can only expense parts and not laptops) waiting to go in.

Mine is also out for delivery, but it's going to my mom-in-law's so I can't get to it till after work <sigh>.

Then I''ll boot her up, check her out and then check that I have the CDs needed to reinstall everything I want (OS - I paid for the disk, drivers and a few of the utilities).

Then, I'll FDisk that bad boy into two partitions - 20GB for OS and Applications and 40GB for data and reinstall the stuff I want; OS, Drivers, MusicMatch, Earthlink. I'll get all the updates done using my M-i-L's cable modem and then install Civilization IV, Microsoft Money and Visual Basic, together with any updates for them.

Should take me a few hours, but I'll have a nice clean machine.

[quote=Siggy]Sign on to your account at Dell (if you've gone in via the EPP site, I'm not sure if this will work).

On the Right Hand side of the screen, just below the My Orders section, is the My Systems section.

Click on My Default System or on My Systems & Peripherals.

On the next page, towards the right is a green prompt saying "Add My New Systems". Press it.

Click on the Service Tag and it gives you the full info on what was actually shipped.

Where do you get the Service Tag from.

It should be displayed automatically at the bottom of the screen so long as the system has been shipped.
