Nvidia Drivers

I'm looking for offical Nvidia drivers for my 6800 Ultra in my Gen 2. I'm having some trouble playing AOE3 and they suggest getting the latest drivers from Nvidia. The only GeForce Go drivers I can find are the ones for the 7800. Nothing for the Go 6800 Ultra.

the 7800 one will work on 6800; that is what I am using at the moment. If you spend time reading the release note for the 7800 driver, you will see that the 6800s are included as well.

Oh, alright. Thanks. Hopefully this will fix my problem.

Well, the driver from Nvidia made no difference. I still can't launch AOE 3.

I am using the X-Treme G drivers on my desktop machine. Got over a 100 bump on 3DMark 05 with those over the NVIDIA ones. Going to try them on the 9300 when it comes in.

Has anyone had trouble with AOE 3? Or is it just me.

I haven't tried it but I might give it a shot tonight and see if I have any luck playing it.

What kind of problems are you seeing?

yse the 81.95 drivers by GeforceTony. They are very stable and clean. Even with o/c they provide good results. I've tested them on both my 6800 and 7800

The game won't even launch when I try. It says...

age3.exe - Application Error

This application failed to initialize property (0x0000006). Click on OK to terminate the application.

Nothing works.

This may seem like a dumb question but, Did you try doing a fresh installation of the game and checking on the games website for any applicable patches?

I've done numerous fresh installs and I've installed the latest patch that I can install. 1.02 can only be installed by chooseing Update Game in the in game menu. There's an autopatcher located in the AOE folder but of course when I run that it gives me another error message. The game is full of bugs.

Have you tried googling the error message. That error is 100% not video card related.

Yes, I've googled it and found nothing that could help me.
