new omega drivers

I installed them but reverted back to the last version. I still had crashes in COD, and as a bonus it couldn't hold the brightness in any game, always going "full dark".

I guess we'll have to wait a while before ATI comes with better COD drivers...

what is the deal with that? can't there be drivers that work with everything. ATI should get on the ball, cause its getting old; my 8890 not working. i paid a lot of money for it. I had to reformat yesterday for some stupid video driver problem, and i am sick and tired of it!! Currently i am on Sagers 7.95 drivers, and they don't workwith COD. wtf?

just put the drivers out that work with everything, whether its mobile, modded, manually installed, or "sager" drivers, cause right now, the top drivers don't work with 33% of my games. [/ranting]

I have 0 problems with these omega 3.10. COD works great as well- no lockups. all games are working & looking great! 7.95 worked fine with COD too, they are the only two sets of drivers that worked with COD for me.

I'm not a hardcore gamer as U people are, I'm currently playing NWN + SotU + HotU and SW: KotOR only, but I can tell you that the las Omega's had solved all the problems I used to have before with the stock drivers: crashes when ALT+TABbing, weird textures with 4xAA enabled... And I'm not experiencing any problem with the brightness/gamma settings. All looks crisp and clear. And they seem to have solved some erratic interference sounds with the sound codec as well, but now I cannot assure if this is a consequence of the new omega drivers or the new sound driver...

Do you have much of a control panel with the 3.10s? When i got them installed (manually) i didn't have any opengl or direct3d, etc options. i still had many artifacts while playing Uru though, thats why i reverted back to the 7.95s. i don't have COD (because of reformatting) so i can't say whether it runs or not.

Working like a charm for me

I have an 8890 and am using the latest 3.10 drivers for playing COD. I have no problems with playing the game. The Omega site {read me} tells you to disable fast write if you experience problems in COD, once you do that any freezing or instability should stop. For those who had problems did you do this?

Omegas working fine for the first time over here. I'm going to attempt to reinstall the CoD demo and see how it runs.

hmm, i didn't get that when i had the 3.10s on my 8890. good to hear that they may yet work, but now i don't dare uninstall the 7.95s because the last time i did i needed reformatting.
I'm rolling back to 7.95s/3.10s. GTA:VC doesn't work correctly with the new Omegas.

i've been having problems with them on my 4060 the bsod all the time when playing games. I reverted back to the 3.9's and they work great, except for when i try to switch programs when playing NWN completly locks up my computer. Don't get the BSOD but my comp makes a strange noise and the my mouse freezes. Besides that the last ones seem to be working better.

Where are you guys getting these 3.10 from? All I see on the site are 2.5.04. I get a lower aquamark score with these drivers then with the new ati turbo drivers and god omega has terrible refreash rates. I can see the draw lines a lot when using the omegas.
The Omega 2.5.04 are based on ATI's Catylist 3.10

Alrighty, it was just an error in the DirectX drivers. After installing the Omegas, I had forgotten to reboot. After rebooting, Vice City was fine, and even runs a bit smoother.
I couldn't get them to install on Windows Server 2003.
Anyone else try it yet ??
It kept telling me that the .inf not found.

I've noticed that you have to complete uninstall the entire ATI driver suite for it to work. I don't know if anyone else did this, but I know I had to do it for both the 9600PT in my laptop and my 7500 in my desktop.
