I was trying to watch a DVD on my notebook but when I put it in to play, there is no sound...no matter which program I use to play the DVD....realplayer, windows media player, and even the garbage program that comes on the DVD--the one they want you to install......but it all results in the same thing...no sound despite the fact that the volume on the notebook is turned all the way up. I get other sounds though (like when browsing with Internet Explorer).
Also, I was able to take the DVD out and test it on another computer and the sound played fine....but why won't this Acer play the DVD with the volume??? I have encountered a similar problem at my parents house and I could never figure out the program (this was on anoter computer with a seperate DVD).
Anyway, what could be causing this wierd volume problem on my notebook?? I even tried just restarting but same thing.
