Hi,
I hope it is ok to do a price check here. I couldn't find anything against it in the rules.
I am considering to sell my 8790-equivalent computer but I don't know how much it is worth.
First, let me explain why "8790 equivalent". I currently live in MOscow - Russia (although I am not russian) and I bought this computer from the local dealer Roverbooks. It is exactly the same thing as the sager 8790 but it has "roverbook" instead of "sager" written on it, plus it has russian keyboard (together with the english keys).
Here is the config:
PIV 3.0 with HT
1GB RAM
80GB 5400 rpm HD
Bluetooth
Wireless
Subwoofer (instead of card reader...)
TV tuner
WindowsXP HOME RUSSIAN.
Plus the standard stuff for the 8790: 5.1 sound, ethernet, modem, camera and so on.
It is already 1 year old and has been used a LOT:
1. the lid has several scratches (NOT on the screen, of course)
2. The left arm rest is losing the paintjob
3. The keys are worn out (but the letters are 100% ok)
4. there is a weird scratch on the screen, in the right side, which is only visible with a white background. I don't even think it is a scratch per say because I can't find it without a white background.
5. I have applied thermal paste to the video card because it was starting to artifact.
6. the "loosen cable" problem: the cable connecting the mobo to the screen is somehow loosen, which makes the backlight vibrate sometimes. Just a small readjustment to the screen and it stops, not a big deal.
SO, how much would this "old" computer be worth now?? (disregard the "WindowsXP home RUSSIAN". I am actually planning to try to sell it here in russia anyway).
