Heat expansion issues with laptop

For the most part, when my laptop is running and the machine warms up, the laptop chasis itself feels very solid. The keyboard doesnt flex hardly at all, and very solid when typing. But when the laptop is coming out of a cool state, or its been off for some hours, then the chasis feels very loose. The entire keyboard will vibrate when the keys are pressed - even lightly. You will hear the keyboard being pressed against the laptop chasis.

What is the issue here and how do I go about fixing it? I dont know if it has to do with heat on the laptop, and it making the parts warmer and possibly expanding the parts to fit better and feel more solid or if its just something I need to replace and is getting loose.

Now I should state that when it "does" feel loose and the keyboard/chasis gets noisy, its not "always" when the laptop is in a cold/off state. Ive had a couple times where it would happen just out of the blue. I could be typing with say the laptop been on for a couple hours, then it starts and stops for maybe 2 or 3mins or less.

The laptop can be running for hours, i type on it, its fine...i stop, then 2mins later i got back and type and the entire keyboard is loose and loud. Then it goes back to normal. I mean wtf!?????????

toshiba tech support (phone) is pathetic. Reeally, they dont know jack squat. All they do is say to bring it in to a shop.

So thats what im doing today, im gonna try another brand keyboard in it (the guy says its thicker) and then see if that works. if not, the guy said they should be able to find a way to nail this bastard down. I dont care if you have to crazy glue the entire thing, just bolster the SOB.

has your issue been resolved yet? i think im having the same problem with my new ipod video..could it be that im streaming too many videos at once thus causing irreversible heat expansion?

is this a factory defect? If so, i might be able to file a class action lawsuit, so long as my class is properly certified and i appoint an appropriate class representative, and i am calling on you to take on said position for your experience with such heat expansion issues is unmatched. can i count on you?

Well, the guy got another Toshiba, believe it or not. And of course this one has issues too. This only confirms to me that natural selection is dead.
