The title pretty much tells all. All the high-end laptops now boast digital output in SPDIF format, but as a musician I don't see where that's half as useful as SPDIF *input*. If the chipset is soundblaster compliant it probably supports both digi in and digi out, and the parts cost to do one versus the other is probably about the same. But I've never a seen a laptop w/ digital in. Has anyone?
