Dead pixel on digital camera screen?

I just picked up an Optio S6 and when I turned it on, I noticed a little red dot on the screen. I turned it of and back on again, but the dot was still there. Could it be a dead pixel? If so, should I send it back?

sounds like it...they probably wouldn't take it back though, especially if it wasn't on the sensor...my Powershot had a hot pixel on the sensor, but eventually it went away...

If annoys you and you have warrnty for it send it back. If it doesn't affect the pics quality you might use it like that. Your choice.

you mean on the LCD viewfinder? it doesn't affect your pictures at all, not sure it's worth trying to return, call first for their policies.
