Hi my dads computer has a windows problem.

When the computer starts up, windows fails to load up,

It goes to a blue screen that says that

"ati2dvaq is in an infinite loop" etc

Can anyway tell me how we can rectify this problem?

We have run out of ideas

PS soz for the spelling mistake in title

is your friend. But seeing as how you may not be able to access it I did the work for you.
If the computer will not boot at all, when you start it up and before it gets to the Windows splash screen press f8 and a menu will appear. Choose safe mode and let computer boot. A notice will come up about comp running in safe mode. click ok and comp finishes booting. Now after doing some google searching as I have never heard of this problem I came across this fix. Try it and post back. I will consider forgiving the spelling mistake.

Right click-mouse over My Computer
Properties
Hardware(Tab)
Device Manager(button)
Click [+] next to System devices
right-mouse on CPU to AGP Controller (or whatever your controller is called, mine was SiS AGP)
Update Driver(button)

Select Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)
Next(button)
Select Don't search. I will choose the driver to install.
Next(button)
Select PCI standard PCI-to-PCI bridge
Next(button)
Finish(button)
Reboot.
