New 8887 & LCD update issue

Hello,

Well, the 8887 arrived this morning. Generally, I'm happy. The only issue that bothers me (now that I'm actually using application software) is the LCD refresh rate. The "smearing" might be something I can get used too but its certainly distracting at the moment.

Is this something others have noticed? Is there anyway to reduce it (unlikely I suspect!)?

Secondly, and this is a silly question I know, I've released the blanking plate for the PCMCIA card (with the little black button on the side) but can't seem to close it again. Any suggestions!?

good question

I've posted elsewhere, but it's a good question.. can we get some refresh rates for the new 5660 and 8887? Comparison to the Dell Ultrasharp would be key.

to close the pcmcia slots w/ the blank in place, first (with the plug(s) removed) push the button into its locked (in) position, then simply place the blank into the slot....

the key is to place your card/plug in after you re-set the eject button
