Operton system

I'm thinking of building a desktop and probably get an amd. Operton is what i want to get

Do you think this system is fair on the specs?

Opteron 146
Asus A8N-E Nforce4
Nvidia Geforce 6800
Antel Sonata
"Silent" case with a Raidmax 420 watt power supply.

How much do you think it will cost me. Harddrive and rams are not important to me because i have them at home

Opteron is a waste unless you get the 2xx series processors.

well i'm leanin toward opteron because it is high clock capablility, anyone has that system?

Opterons are good, but like I said get a 2xx processor. Even if you buy a single processor 940 board, you can upgrade to smp later. Once you go smp you never go back.
