Radeon 9000 Mobility Drivers

What does everyone recommend? I saw a link to ATI Catalyst 3.0 for Direct X 9.0. Is this what everyone uses? It reads like it is for desktop chipsets.

Also, does "Hydravision" come with the laptop? With the potential for three monitors at once I found Hydravision Download from ATI.

Also, what is "Powerdesk." A lot of people mentioned this in several reviews.

Thanks,

Robin

This is from the ATI Faq:

Q16: I have an ATI graphics chip in my notebook. Can I install CATALYSTon my system?

A16: The various components of CATALYSThave different levels of support for laptops as follows:

Hydravision - Fully supported. Users of ATI laptop systems can download and use Hydravision fully.
Remote Wonder - Fully supported. Users of ATI laptop systems with a Remote Wonder can download and use the Remote Wonder Software fully.
Multimedia Center - Not supported.
Driver - Not supported. CATALYSTgeneric drivers cannot be installed on notebook systems. Please use the driver supplied with your notebook computer, or obtain a driver update from the manufacturer of your notebook computer. If you have any questions regarding the features or functionality of a particular display driver, please consult with your notebook manufacturer.

It's over here:

Well, like they said, it depends on your manufacturer. If you got a sager, you might want to check:

Would the 8886 drivers work with a 8887?
Yeah I have the same question, specifically about the M9 w/ 128mb. Can the drivers from s-seven.net be used w/ the 8887?
I'm going to try them :-) Hopefully they'll work.
