Yeah that's what I said. Or at least what I meant. They marked the price up and gave us back linux. The only nice thing to say about it is that at least when you buy a GL you know you are getting a router you can load your choice of firmwares on.

The best router HANDS down is a WRT54GS V4 or less with DD-WRT.

Simply the best.

the belkin pre-n sucks, the speed is worse then dial up.

my old dlink 614+ gets better reception and bandwith,

that was a waste of money its going back friday

Not sure what kind of setup you have, but the Belkin Pre-N is one of the fastest routers I've ever seen. And the range is amazing. It even boosted the signal enough that my pda wifi reception sped up to an acceptable level. And it has been plug and play not a moment's worth of trouble since I installed it.
