Aquamark 3 scores from 4200go and fx5650 users

Ok I have yet to test these two video cards but I will finally get my hands on the D800 I have been wanting for sometime I found out when running across an OLD thread where I was selling a VPR Matrix Laptop. (I found it while doing an Altavista search for Aquamark 3 d800 scores)

Anyway I would like some help tracking down scores in Aquamark 3 for the following cards:

FX5200go (Pref 64MB model)
FX5600go
FX5650go (3DMark03 Score 2500)
Ti4200go

I know where the 9600 scores (between 22k low and freaky like my current laptop @ 28,581)

I like that nvidia is well supported by linux and I want to see the differences in the cards above to decided where I should update this d800 to. I do not game to hard so I think it should handle FFXI and Sid Meiers Pirates along with some older games.

But I do not like Linux's ATI support so if I can use nVidia and not see to big a loss and just compare them anyway I would be thankful!

Also if anyone knows where to find the part numbers and prices for the dell video cards
FX5650 and ati9600 for the 8600/d800 laptops, it would be helpful!

Just to let you know I have a fx 5650 card if you want to purchase it (promise it will be cheap!). You can PM me for details.

Unfortunately I didn't run aquamark on it, but of course the 5650/5600 is the only one on your list with anything resembling dx9 support.. (5200 does, but it's a budget card so you won't get much performance). In 3dMark03, the 5650 was at about 2500, mainly due to its pixel shading performace (like all the fx series cards).

Note that this was a while ago, back when the fx series just came out, so there may be some driver optimizations over the last year or two to tweak more out of it!

I sent ya a PM.

I know that the 4200 has DX8 so thats ok but def 9 is pref. (So is your card due to linux Compatability)

Anyway I sent you a PM thanks for the numbers you gave!
