Looking for a sleeve for an M170

Hey all,

I have a question.. I have looked all over for a sleeve to keep the laptop in before I dump it into the BackPack.
Somehting like a Neoprene or Micorfiber sleeve/bag that is sort of fitted to the laptop or 17" laptops. I just want a bit of added protection from scratches etc.

Any suggestions?

The top cover of my M170 was being scratched to death in the bag due to me lugging it round the place,so I put a thick enough magazine in the holder too giving more padding to top cover before fastening the velcro holder.Just my two cents although i have no idea where you would get a seperate cover for it.

I had bought one from CompUSA last year. It was exactly that, a neoprene sleeve with a zipper on one side. The only thing was that is was for a 15 inch laptop. I'm not sure if they have one for 17" but it's worth a shot. BTW it costed about $30-40.

if you wanna carry it around in your bag, it would probably be a good idea to use the plastic bag dell wrapped your laptop with in the box, it worked for me, no scratches so far

Thank for the ideas...
I guess in spending over 2K for a laptop. . I'd like something a little more fitting than a plastic bag.. besides. I would worry about condensation forming with a warm laptop and then going outside in the cold.

The Samsonite laptop briefcase I bought came with a nice sleeve. I looked in a few places for just a sleeve, but no luck.

There are sleeves out there. Unfortunately most are sized for the 17 inch Apple Powerbook.

Here's a pricey one that fits the i9300/M170:

I have the 2006 Booq Folee XL which has been an exceptional case for my i9300.

You can also check out ebags.com for sleeves/cases that fit as well using their wizard:

http://www.jr.com/JRProductPage.process?Product=4033320

http://www.compusa.com/products/prod...ok+XL+Backpack

2 highest recommended "sleeve" style cases for 17" widescreen laptops. First link is a harder shell on each side for more drop protection. While the second link is thinner and allows for tigher fits when stuffing into a bag.

Unfortunately the booq sleeves won't fit the M170. I do have the booq Python XL backpack, and it fits my M170 GREAT!

I love it!
