Hi guys,

Well I just placed my order for my new Laptop plus a M-Audio ProjectMix I/O for a very pleasing £2000 with the below config:

Microsoft Windows XP Home OEM
Notebook Build
NUSUPPORT
Standard Plus
Hitachi 60GB 7200rpm 8MB Cache HDD
Symantec Norton Ghost 2003 v. 8.0
1GB DDR2 533MHz Notebook RAM
PENTIUM M 760 2.00GHz FSB533
Compal DL76 Notebook Chassis
Dual Layer DVD/RW (DL70)
FREE Laptop Carry Case
FREE Music Software
M-Audio Project Mix I/O

With the M-Audio ProjectMix coming in at around £750 retail I think I got a pretty nice deal. The sales guy (John) on the phone was great and got what was originally coming in at around £2300 down to 2 grand...

Admittedly I don't have the laptop et al yet so can't comment on its performance etc but was delighted with the phone service (lets hope it bodes well if I need support also)...

Will come back with a review when I receive it early in January 2006...

Cannot find information about this notebook on the official site of Compal

P.S. £2000 is about $3400
