NEW Little Dell Review

Thread Starter
I have had my new 9300 for just over a week now, and I figured I would write a little review. After all, this site helped me tremendously with everything! I dont have the time to write a 30 mins review like some, but i will do my best.

What I ordered
Pentium M 1.76, 1 Gig ram, 100gig 5400rpm sata drive, 256 MB Nividia card, WUXGA truelife screen, blueooth option, charcoal leather quick snap cover. I needed a new computer as I had my dell desktop for 3 years and was getting kind of out dated. I am currently in College and going to Univercity next Sept. and taking business so I figured a laptop would be my best bet.

Arrival and Impressions
It arrived 7 days after ordering it. I was so god damn excited about getting it, I didn't go to school that day When i first opened the box, everything was packaged neatly and when i pulled it out, it was alot smaller than expected (which was a good thing). I charcoal leather quick snap cover looks incredibly sharp and am so glad that i got it. When i first turned on the lappy, I was impressed. The WUXGA screen is breathtaking. GET THIS SCREEN. It is clear, vivid and the resoltution isnt too small, you get used to it.

Screen
Like I said, the screen is fantastic! No dead pixels! No sparkles (I am starting to beleive this sparkle thing is a myth) and just very little light leakage on the bottom of the screen, barley noticable! And if it decides to act up, i got 3 year complete care to get it replaced. Please take my advice, and get the WUXGA with truelife. I spent 3-4 weeks researching the screen and reading posts, and I am sooo glad i got it.

Everything Else
-I love the size of the lappy, it is acually easy to carry and isnt as heavey as I though
-The keyboard is great and the touchpad is easy to use
-The speakers are pretty darn good for a lappy! I also got some whicked bluetooth speakers from bestbuy.
-It does come with tones of bloatware. I recommend you reformat and install what you want/need
-I overclocked the graphics card with ease, and have played HL2 and Fear all on full settings with zero glitches, it looks awesome!

Overall
I am so glad I took the opinions of this board and got a 9300 with the WUXGA. So far, this computer has surpased my expectations. I recommend this computer to anybody who wants portability, performance at a very reasonable price!

Nice review.

are the leather quicksnaps just hard, textured plastic, or are they actual soft-touch?

They are hard, mine is a charcoal leather. It is hard, but soft to the touch....i aint very good at explaining things..but they do offer a neat look and some protection for the top, and if they get scratched you can replace them.
