5680 Batery power problem. Half the performance when on battery!

I have a 5680, specs in sig. The system seems to run at half speed when on battery. IS there a way to disable this?!?!? This is a HUGE drawback to me if not. The BIOS has no setings for this.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks

That's because of the battery-power settings, which you can change. If they are set for maximum battery life, the CPU will power down as low power draw will be the priority. You can change this in the Power Settings in Control Panel or in the SCU. Also do a search under Henrik and temperature measurements.
