8886 - One Year Shorty Review - Amazing...

Well, It’s been a little over a year since I got my Sager 8886 and I thought it might be nice for a short annual update. My Sager has performed flawlessly! The only gripe being the Mp3 player (I only call it an mp3 player because that's what the specs called it). For the last year my Sager has been my primary home office machine and I took it INTO work about a third of the time. I’ve only formatted it once in the last year (not bad at all for a Microsoft OS), although it may be due for another soon. Games have been a joy, and all I have to say is bf1942 DC STILL ranks #1 on my list.

One year, zero Sager related issues. I’m building a new tower this year, but November 2004 sounds good for a new lappy.

Thanks Adam and the PCTORQUE crew, you’re the best!

Gee it seems so long ago. Three models per year since the 8886 (8887 -> 8890 -> 8790). I hate to imagine what the specs are going to be like 12 months from now.

Glad to hear the laptop is working well BlueMeanie.
BTW I assume the handle is in reference to the classic Beatles video they did for Yellow Submarine. "!NO your Blueness".

Great mini-review/recap there, BM... I look forward to doing my own in February 2004 (damn, has it been a year already?). Like you I've had no problems (except the SD-card reader - I refuse to acknowledge this device as a mp3 player).

BlueMeanie is a double ant André... of course it comes from yellow submarine (which I love) but It was also the name the original mac os programmers/debuggers gave themselves…

The fun history of the name….
