How can I flash my BIOS to 1.08??

Have someone of you any idea why I can't flash my Bios?

I burned that image from alienware to a CD-R then I restart my lappy...ok it bootup with cd-rom support to the prompt....and now to my problem. What is the next step??? I type runme at the prompt but it does not continue....I hope someone of you can help me.

I think you mean some and not someone... it's early out here and that threw me off, soz.

Quick question for you... do you happen to have the CD-ROM set to be the primary boot device in the BIOS setup? That would explain you problem if not (happened to someone else at least and that was the issue)

The problem was the image file ....it was broken...I downloaded it again on the US- FTP and it goes now!

Just a quick reminder that by flashing your bios without tech support on the phone voids your warranty so be forewarned....happy holidays...

Only AW would offer an upgrade/fix to their own systems that actually voids the warranty.

Couldn't you just call them after doing it and do it again? or just revert? And does anyone know if they are now shipping with the new bios? and if they are, when you had to order by? just wondering

I think Charlie Box, who just got his laptop, said that his came with the 1.08 bios.
