I have a wc222 and it's awesome.

When people see it they all say, "wow".

The 222 looks fantastic with my fusion usb hdtv tuner. You can almost walk into the picture. Im glad dell picked me a good one.

Kc912 ??

According to the Dell website my Inspiron 9300 has a Samsung " KC912 " screen. Anyone know which one this is or if it is a new model? I have not seen it listed before. It is the WXGA+ model.

Windows Xp on a widescreen is a little different then what you are probably use to. Any resolution besides 1920X1200 resolution will make your text look washed out or not correct. Also when changing your resolution make sure it is (B)/(A)=0.625 ;whereas (A) X (B) =resolution of screen. Also changing your dpi to 96 from 120 will help out alot. I use the 1440X900 resolution and the text is just the right size for my eyes because it's in equal proportion to the native resolution of the screen. I also use the brightness level of 6 out of 7.

Go to Dell's web site. Log on and check which systems were shipped. Your order status should tell you the parts number.

Go to dell.com, log into your account. Middle right there is a my systems and peripherals, click on change my default systems. New page. If there is nothing there then click add systems. You should get a list. Click on service tag. Then it list your parts #.

ya, mine isnt bad either. if i cant get it replaced i wont be pissed or anything. however, there is definetly room for improvement, and i dont like getting a subpar product.

heres the color profile i feel is really nice on my laptop

That's only 3 percent correction from stock in Contrast and Gamma. I think this lcd is fairly new since noboby has mention about it until 10 days ago. The replacement channel might not have it yet.
