screen size, availible video card options, upgrades, and finally, PRICE.

the 9300 is a little more, not much.

you can get a nicely configed 9300 (with 6800 and WUxga) for about 1300.

you can get a nice 6000 for something around there.

i would prefer the 6000 as ive seen both, but the VC woulda been nice.

i love my 6k

The major factor seems to be that the 9300 is 17", and the 6000 is 15.4". They're both widescreen, and they both have the exact same look. The 9300 can be configured with a few higher-end components, but other than that they're pretty much the same, including chipset I think. I went with the 17" simply because it suits how I use the computer better.

If you're looking for lots of power and/or you're a big gamer, get the 9300.

If you're looking for a mix of some power and some portability, get the 6000.

9300-17screen,allow config of 256mb geforce,glossy screen
6000-15.4, x300vid card

if you are a dedicated gamer, you should spend more money to get a high end vid card as the 9300 imo is the best bang for the buck

The 9300 with the Nvidia video is hdcp compatible.
Bigger screen.
Better sound.
Heavier.
Can play High Definition DVD's.

my 9300 isn't much bigger than a 6000. It depends on what matters more, losing 1/2 lb and 20% of the screen or having the ultimate desktop replacement notebook.

9300 is the better value. Larger screen, superior video card and better sound.

the 9300 can be upgraded to either a 6800 Ultra or a 7800GTX where a 6000 cannot.

the new 9300's have serial ATA. 6000 does not

Actually the SATA 9300s where apparently a limited run.

Correct - my recently purchases 9300 has PATA.

No big deal, in fact I would prefer PATA on a notebook.
