I guess ill just ask this in tech support.
This is wierd, no matter what I do I cannot make my laptop work with my linksys wireless G router through a line when connected directly to the router.
Things work fine like with the internet and everything when I use the wireless card OR if I hook a hub up to the router and then my laptop to the hub, but that doesnt allow file sharing for some reason (which we need).
And oddly all my friends computers can hook directly to my router no problem, but I cannot. Ive tried different lines and everything but all the lights do come on as if its working and I have a ip when I run ipconfig in command prompt.
I cant access the router or anything when im connected directly through it this way either.
The only other think I thought was maybe I had the wireless card installed and nobody else had, so I uninstalled it but no luck. Ive also tried all the options in the "setup small office or home" network deal.
