COD2 Xbox360 vs. PC

I have only played xbox 360 twice now, both playing cod2 for a few mins each time. I have played cod2 on the pc using directx 9 or whatever the better one is and compared to the xbox 360, I don't really see how the xbox360 is better. I can't even play cod2 at 1920 x 1200 yet but even at res something like 1440 x 800, I think the PC version looks better.

What do you think?

PLease don't do this, don't compare the two, it's not worth it... If you have a xbox 360 enjoy it on your TV, if you have it on your XPS enjoy it there too. I bet both are very enjoyable. By making this comparison you're opening a can of worms, you should just enjoy whatever experiance you're having because either way its a great game.

Xbox 360 Version has a Multiplayer that does 4 v 4 MAX, PC version has servers with 48 people. Like I said Don't do this.....

I'm not trying to start trouble, I'm just wondering in what ways does the graphics in xbox 360 rival the PC. I didn't see anything more speical then what I saw playing on the computer.

Until they release a mouse and keyboard for the XBOX 360, FPS games on a PC will always be more fun to me.

They are releasing a keyboard/mouse for it right?

I think it's funny that they have to release a keyboard and mouse for it. First consoles needed optical drives, then hard drives, then network cards, and now keyboards and mice....

I think I already have something like that that plays games, and a few other things.

It all depends on the game. I prefer a controller for every type of game except first person shooters and that's only because I started out as a computer gamer.

I know a lot of people that don't understand how I can game on a keyboard, it's all relative.

Well yes to a degree, however there is no way you can compare the aiming accuracy of a Analog Stick on a game controller to a decent mouse...

That explains it: I only play FPS games! :-)

at 1920x1200, i couldnt notice the difference between no AA and 2xAA. going upto 6xAA just seems like a total waste to me. it might be usefull on a 60" tv, but on these 17"ers noAA is good enough.

I've said it before and i'll say it again, i just can't play COD2 on the xbox360... the jaggies just annoy the hell out of me...

anyway i think Doc.Caliban has summed it all up perfectly, well done

It has usb connections on it, they dont need to release a keyboard/mouse, just add support for it in games.

Again, playing 4 v 4 on COD 2 multiplayer and paying whatever you pay for Xbox 360 has got to suck. I mean didn't people say Band of Brothers was a bad multiplayer game because it was just like that? in numbers???

Ok, I have a question about COD2 for the PC.

I have played this game on two computers.

My laptop...
1.6Ghz, 512ram, 7800go, about 6900pts in 3dmark05....

My desktop....
3.6Ghz P4, 2gigs ram, X800XT, about 6200pts in 3dmark05....

Both times I am NOT using DirectX 7 Mode, everything else is set to max with a res of about 1360 x 768.

First of all, my desktop is geting less FPS then my laptop. Second it doesn't look that great on my desktop. I am playing the demo, and where you can see the heat comming off the ground in the distance, only my laptop will show that.

Is there some feature that this games uses that the X800XT doesn't have and the 7800gtx does?

I'm surprised it plays so much better on my laptop where I have almost no ram and a slow cpu.
