Can't post pics 'cause I've only got 'em on my lappy, not on the web.

I feel your pain. I bought my NP4750V in July 2005 (less than 6 months ago) and I already had to send my unit back to Sager last week because of cracked hinges!!

I barely open and close my notebook 4 times a week. I do it carefully and this notebook is mint condition. But those darn hinges are adjusted so tight that both developed a hairline crack. The darn lid actually showed signs of buckling right above the hinges !!!
So, I decided to bite the bullet. Send the unit back to Sager, have them replace the lid and reduce the tension so that this may not happen again. On an previous email from Sager they sugested I open and close the lid with both hands. Has anyone tried to open the lid successfully that way? I have no third hand to hold the unit down while I open the lid and that is the only way I would be able to succeed.
Anyway. They got the notebook now it is a matter of them returning it to me fixed.

regards;
