LCD Care

What are people using to clean their LCD’s?
To get that streak free shine, what mixture do you find works best?

My opp manual says to use a glass cleaner, but Windex on my truebrite? I don’t think so.

I have been using a mixture of contact lenses cleaner solution and 50% water, it seems to work so, so. Rubbing out my sneeze marks with some old nylons.

I cant get it to gleam like factory new though, maybe its my “rag” and “solution”. or maybe it fades like that new car smell. :/

Am certainly not going to pay for them expensive cleaning strips.

A cloth for cleaning eyeglasses and for the really gritty gunk I just exhale on the screen to create some humidity and wipe it clean.

I actually decided to buy the hype and bought some KlearScreen wipes. They're pretty expensive, but they work so well. After using them, it leaves behind no streaks at all!

foamy glass cleaner, I can't remember the brand, it doesn't contain amonia and does no damage to LCD, works awesome.

I have been using for some time now, distilled water because it contains no minerals and a micro fibre cloth that was recommended to me by the Toshiba Service Depot and it does a super job. ( you get the micro fibre cloth in any chain drug store usually in the electronics or camera depts.)
I started doing this after my lcd screen was in for replacing as it had red hue to it and I asked the Tech at the time what he recommended for use on my new monitor screen and that is what I found out and I think that was about a year ago.
Just my 2 cents.
Cheers!!!
