I got the Netgear 802.11g wireless router that was so kindly reccomended by drew and it works beautifully. you ccan get eh 802.11b 11mbs model for about $50 to $60 and just for sufing the net will work fine. The 802.11g 54mbs is more for movinglarve files and i find gamming accross it to be fine althought wired network is preferd for gaming. Wired is 100mbs. A fast internet connection will only connect at 1.5 to 3mbs anyway so 11mbs will work fine for that. as for set up all you need to do with teh net gear is hook it up as the directions tell you to and pop in the cd and it will automaticaly find your internet connection and start broadcasting teh wi-fi signal your laptop should pick it right up and ask if you want to conenct to this new network connection and you hit yes and then you are off an running that is pretty much it in a nutshell. WI-FI in my opinion is easier than wired as far as setup. If you have ever had any experience with a wired net work WI-Fi is a breeze!

Great deal on this $32 after 20 dollar rebate www.newegg.com rocks!

I also have the Netgear 802.11g router that Drew recommended. When I got my laptop I was leaving for work so I took it to work and installed all my software, then I came home and sat it down on the dining room table to see if I could get on the net with any headaches. To my suprise i really was that easy and I couldn't be happier.

Is he gonna buy himself one now? I have alot of friends who have seen mine and love it and ask how much was. As soon as I answer they're like "you paid how much for a laptop?" It's funny what some people think is a reasonable price others find insane.

My mother freaked when I told her how much it was. Then I told her what was in it then she refeaked in the other direction! Luckily my mother is fairly computer literate and when I told her this thing had 1gb of ram and a 2.8ghz pocessor, DVD-RW and a removeable 128mb video card she was like (IN A LAPTOP!!!!!!!!!!)

Yeah I know I never told my mom how much I speant because she thought DSL was crazy. But I called my dad and let him know what I just bought. He thought it was a little crazy but he understood. I remember when DSL first came out and I got it and my mom came to my house and used the computer she couldn't believe the speed increase. She still thought it was too expensive for an internet service but now she can't live without it. I think what girls spend on make up and clothes is insane so I guess it all balances out.

Hey, I'm a chick, I resent that! I have a beautiful new blue Area 51, but no new clothes. And it was a freaking good Christmas.

Besides, you guys know you like it when a girl dresses up and wears make up for you. Hell, if your wife stopped shaving for a couple of days you'd probably have s**t fits.

A chick that gets decked out for the New Years eve party to be the center of any guy's attention in the room that carries a laptop case instead of a purse - I like that.
