hello,
Im trying to use a program called CPUCooL on my sager 4080. It is asking me for the Mainboard manufacturer and the mainboard type. Any ideas anyone?

Thanks,

Its a CLEVO, all I know. These are proprietary so I don't think you're going to find much more than that. Hopefully I am wrong. As an alternative, check out Henrik's programs here in the forums. They don't do as much as CPUCool but they do worr and they are free.

Thanks for the information, I will try and see if I can contact CLEVO themselves. I have tried the programs by Henrik, but have (unfortunately) had limited success. The CPU temp seems to work erratically (with temp spikes) and when I run the battery saver program, I get "fatal error messages" unfortunately. Do you know if there are any ways to get these programs working? I have read the relevant forum links and the best I can find is something to do with the keyboard bios???

Problem is I dont know where to get bioses to try to update my computer!

Thanks again!

you can contact sager to get the updated bios. I've got a 4060 and haven't had any success with henrik's program. It never works for me.

I'd drop Henrik a line about his programs and your machines. Nothing like getting it from the programmer himself. What a resource!!!

I went to Sager's web site (www.sagernotebook.com) and clicked on the hardware specs of the 4080. I'm not sure about the motherboard manufacture, but it uses the SiS 648FX / SiS 963 Chipset. I hope this helps.
