On BT notebooks (i9300) can you use the MX900 logitech mouse without the base station. so that i just carry the mouse with me when i travel?

Yes, but I don't think anyone has gotten the SetPoint software to work without the base station. SetPoint is necessary for reprogramming the buttons and for making the task-switching button do anything at all.

Wrong. I have it working right now. I think it was an older version that didn't work. Just install the setpoint and it will tell you that you have two bluetooth devices. Unhook the base station then you should be good. By the way it is a f'en dream to not have to lug a base around.

Woah, that'd be awesome. I'll head off to download SetPoint 2.47 and report on my results...
