RAM (DIMMS) location - Amilo M1451G

Hi

I havethe Amilo m1451g

I would like to upgrade the RAM (add).

The manual does show where the memory modules are. I know that at times these have to be accessed via the keyboard (ie they are under the keyboard)

Perhaps someone knows where they are, and even a short description of how to get to them.

Also, on the box I see that it reads: Memory 2x 256mb. The data sheet for this range says that there is no onboard memory and that there are 2 DIMM slots available. I have this sneaking suspicion that there are 2 256mb modules installed and no space left - which is something i asked the sales person and was assured there was extra slots available. Please comment.

Thank you in advance

if anyone is ineterested, which is doubtful judging by the overwhelming response.

the dimm slots are under the keyboard. there are two (the mother****) so there is no place to expand if u have 2x256 the way i did.

seems to be kind of tricky to remove the k/board if u dont know how.

there are 6 clips 2 on the sides and 4 at the to (or three) anyway. with a small screwdriver (flat) push next to the little metal piece that holds the keyboard (left ofthe metal piece). push horizontally outward (away from keyboard (thin there is even a groove there). ull c the small metal piece move and then bring out the k/board. do this one at a tiem

good luck
