Just an update!

I opened up my entire laptop (for the 1st time!) to the graphics card, and then just put it all back, and

it works!!!
no idea why!!!, maybe there were loose connections?? but that would not explain why it detected a graphics card...anyway *touch wood* it is okay now!

thanks for all the help guys....again notebookforums.com stops me going mad
