60GB HARD DRIVE
WINXP MCE 2005

thats about as good as you're gonna get...only thing that needs fixing is the X300, but not much you can do about that in a laptop

Besides the ATI X300, you have a great laptop. If you can, try to upgrade to an ATI X700.

If you are a serious gamer, I would suggest you return it for a Dell XPS or 9300, which have truly serious video cards. I do think a 9300 with a Go 6800 can be had for around $1350. Coupons may possibly reduce this (not sure since we are talking about an exchange).

On the business side, the Dell Latitude D810 (Advanced and Enhanced versions) have an X600 (not a whole lot better than the X300), and the Enhanced version runs for $1487. Not sure if Dell would allow you to return a consumer (Inspiron) notebook for a business (Latitude) notebook, or if it would be worth the bother or cost.

The Dell Forum guys may be the best to ask about all this.

If you can get your money back, there are lots of choices in gaming machines.

yeah, theres nothing you can do to your 6000 to make it any better for gaming. If you cant get your money back, id suggest just sticking to your desktop.

If you're a serious gamer, get a DESKTOP.

Jeez, when will people see this?

The comp you listed is fine for general games but nothing too intense. Still, not bad for specs.
