I have an Acronis Backup Image of my 60GB Toshiba cloned onto a USB linked 3.5 external hard drive and I want to test drive it. Rather than find out it doesn’t work when it’s my lifeline. (If my original HD crashed I would copy the Acronis image onto another 2.5 then install it.) Can I disable my internal hard drive, preferably in bios and run my 9300 from the 3.5 external hard drive that has the exact clone of the internal hard drive on it? If this is possible, but I do have to physically disconnect my internal hard drive first please warn me about how I can screw that up because I have never pulled a notebook hard drive before. Thanks Meta
