Sager 4750 DVD Drive

I have a Matusita UJ811 DVD Burner in my laptop. The thing is the it's impossible to crack the region locking mechanism of the drive. I've looked for firmware, tried AnyDVD and DVD Region+CSS Free and it just doesn't work. It's a known problematic drive that way.

I was thinking of getting a different drive since I have quite a few Region 2 and Region 3 DVD's. Any idea how to take the DVD drive out of the Sager 4750?

The simple procedure (removing 6 screws and pushing the DVD out)
is described in chapter 6 of the User Manual. The English version
of the manual can be downloaded from

The same manual (but with 3 times bigger .pdf -- 21M vs 7M from Clevo)
can be downloaded as well from www.eurocom.ca.
