well, regardless, they've got to come out with them within the next year. I just based the timetable on when the Z71v came out in 2005.

An update on the fan. Using Asus probe software, my fan runs at 2000rpm when gaming and if you play for about 2 hours or more it reaches 2400 rpm but those fan speeds are very inaudible during any sessions. Even in a dead qiet room those are inaudible. The fan does not come on that much. IT hardly comes on and the only way to tell if it is on is to put your hand in the right vent to see if you can feel the heat. If you are doing photoshop and websurfing the fan does not usually come on. If you are doing intense rendring the fan wil come on but it is inaudile. Anyone not expering this should call ASUS and ask for replacements or get a BIOS update. Most of the time it is bios updates that solve fan issues.

your fan is probably broke. That is why you cant hear it

Yea Laptop<3 has that supersonic hearing. The only thing he can't hear are broken fans and no, his hearing is not super enough to hear vibrating atoms in a solid. Ahh must defend my z70va...hehehe. Err mine is very quiet, now that I used speedfan to turn it down, and it runs cool. But I want glossy...

Actually I caqlled my reseller computerbrain today and they said the fan should be running at 2000rpm and it should be inaudible. If it were broken my system would be overheating. Its just a quiet notebook Like I said before any users experincing loud fan noise should return it back, as this is NOT normal.
