I bought this laptop after looking at good reviews from others. Some of you probably remembered a powerbook on sale by me. I got rid of my powerbook and purchased Clevo N5720 from Istnc.
Impressions:
Well my first impression of this laptop was that it is huge, considering that I had a powerbook before, you can imagine where I am coming from. I was quite impressed by the laptop, very well put together, great features and the performance that I could only dream about but it is finally here.
Screen on this laptop is amazing, I picked the glossy finish which almost doubles as mirror.
CPU, I went with 2ghz P-M, after some carefull consideration. It is the best bang for the buck.
Hardrive, I choose the 80 gig 7200rpm drive since the 100gig was sold out.
Memory, 2gig because I want to play BF2
I did have some problems with this laptop, the bison cam and bluetooth refuse to work, the laptop will be going back for warranty.
I had a pleasure dealing with Rick from Istnc, never dealt with someone that kind in a long time. All my emails were replied within 1-2 hours, unheard of now a days. I looked at other dealers and finally settled with Istnc.
I recieved my laptop within 10 days of ordering, after finding the issues, I contacted Rick and he is getting Fedex to pickup and get it back to get it repaired.
Conclusion:
I am happy with the service I recieved from Istnc and the performance of this laptop, about the bluetooth and vga camera, I am sure with Rick taking the lead in getting this laptop working the way it is suppose too, I have no worries at all.
I will be writing a full review once the laptop comes back from warranty.
