hi everyone. i have had my acer 8103 for about five months now. it has been working great up untill just recently. i got a set of speakers for christmas, and figured i should hook them up right, so i went and got a creative PCMCIA notebook sound card. the only trouble is after many failed attempts to install it, i looked in the device manager, and noticed this:

upon further inspection it tells me that "This device cannot start.(Code 10)"

any ideas?

Hi, I am in the exact same situation as you: received speakers and the Audigy 2 ZS PCMCIA sound card for christmas and had the same problem with the "Intel PCIC compatible PCMCIA controller". I have now uninstalled all PCMCIA adapters and re-installed with the drivers found here: http://www.acerpanam.com/synapse/for...words=&pupv=pu

Now I do not even have the Intel driver installed and the PCMCIA bus still doesn't work.

If anyone can help us that'd be very much appreciated.
