lcd repair

is there anyplace that offers lcd moniter repair? my samsung syncmaster 913v has a crack, a large crack, its like someone threw a rock into a car's windshield, and the color is a little messed up, is it better to repair it or buy a new one and sell this one? i called samsung and alienware (where i bought it) and they said they cant do anything about it. does anyone know anyplace where i can get it repaired? ill post pics when i get a chance

Most times if the screen's glass is broken it's done for. LCDs are not cheap when it comes time to replace them. Often if it's even possible to repair it, it's cheaper to buy new than repair.

how long do u think it will last, its starting to bleed in wierd colors

already went thru this on another monitor...

if the screen is cracked then throw it out the repair cost will be higher than if you buy a new rig.

if its the backlight or the power components then you stand a chance that the repair will save you cash.

hit walmart.com or samsclub.com if you are a member of sams. costco is a good idea too and with the after holiday sales you might get a deal on a new rig.
