I'm offended that you don't believe me. Need I send you some tourist trinkets too?

Yes, as a matter of fact.

Has anyone tried HL2 on this one yet? Just wondering what the fps are on it and how smooth it is.

Don't think so, but here is the link to CoffeeShark's review. Scored nicely on 3dMark05.

I've been playing Far Cry on the unit I'm testing and getting 80ish FPS at medium settings.

Also, a note about battery life. 2:30 playing a DVD. Pretty darn impressive for a 17" with this system's specs.

Thanks go out to Raymond Bi for the temporary supply of MSI badges until the customized ones come through!
did you make that badge yourself or find a place to buy them? I just built an 1029 myself and was thinking about writing MSI if I could get a lip badge.
A limited supply of those badges were provided to CoffeeShark and myself when we attended MSI's Star Forum in Los Angeles last week.

so what are the odds I could get you to mail me one?
Sadly, those odds are not in your favor

As much as I'd like to help you out, I'm flying through them and my customers, for obvious reasons, get first priority.

One of the problems with buying barebones is that you're never sure of what you'll get. Hopefully you'll get a new one back that works next time.
