Area 51M LCD

Hello all,
Is there anything I can do to get a decent display at 1024 x 768 (gets badly washed) with a 16.1 UltraXGA? I also noticed by default the refresh rate is at 60 Hz, does it hurt to go higher? I'm using Mobility Radeon 9600 with latest driver from aw.

The max refresh rate on that LCD is only 60Hz.

As far as your display looking weird at 1024, the native resolution (the res the LCD was made for) is 1600x1200 so when you are not at that resolution things look fuzzy.

I ran mine at 1024 for awhile but I never noticed any fuzziness, I had to run it at that res before I got used to the 1600x1200. I wish I could be of more help man. But I will agree with Craig that once you get used to 1600x1200 it looks alot better.

I'm running 1600x1200 on my inspiron 8100 with a 15.1" screen :P 16.1" should be huge!!!

It is... you don't really notice it though until you sit down in front of it.

Your washing issue is probably caused by a resetting of the display options on your computer. Adobe Gamma loader or the color control properties in the Omega driver catalyst set should fix that problem.
