omegadrivers.net for modded ones
asus.com for official asus drivers (best bet for you probably)
ati.com for generic drivers.

Wow Jozi, how did you do it? I've looked ages for those. Last time I dl'ed from the ATi website, it was a small file under 500kb and when executed it said something about me having to contact the manufacturer?
Neway good find!
Well of course ATI has them on their site.... He just found the link to it. You're not supposed to use it though, at least according to this:
https://support.ati.com/ics/support/...estionID=19546

Which is probably where you got the message you mentioned.

Different notebook forum

Only got my laptop this week, came accross it when i was looking for drivers for all the hardware.

That 500kb file, why (according to ati) is my notebook not compatible with them drivers? I installed them, seems to work fine. How is my mobility x700 diferent to that of one in a different laptop?

On a different note, system properties says 256mb ram for my gfx card, half of this shared with my normal ram? I got a M6Va with 128mb x700, only not acording to system properties??

Did you uninstall the old ones first before installing the new?
I done a fresh windows xp pro install when i got the laptop.
But you should uninstall the old drivers, do a google for drivercleaner (i think) and use that to.

The display driver supplied with a given notebook has been customized for:

the built-in flat panel display
any other graphics or video options installed in that specific computer.
As a result of these customizations, ATI Customer Care is unable to offer drivers for notebooks.
There you have it
-Well the fact that it is "Mobility" its obviously designed for a built in flat panel display. I mean, whos seen a removal screen on laptop XD

-Graphics or video options on the Asus? None that I know of.

-Lol ATi customer care, who will ever need that and as if they'll reply

Just out of curiostiy, how are most people scoring on these drivers?
I mean which is found to be the fastest results, performance, gaming?

Omega, Asus or ATI's generic?
Reinstalled ATI's Generic ones a while back... just to find out they dont work right with my sVideo hookup to the TV yesterday.

Omega worked very well for gaming until they started glitching after the new version came out...

Havn't tried the Generic ATI ones, but i DEFINETLY would recommend these LEAST over the other two.

Ok I uninstalled all Asus's, reinstalled Omegas and it worked like a charm; however, then when I changed a setting. The1 display rez only let me go up to 1280x1024... I went back to ati and ok but samething until I messed with the settings some more... so I am going to go back to omega again... I Am still pondering which is faster? I dont see the o/c utility when I installed omega as well is it the ati tool? because if so, I didn't install that since ppl on here said not to.

Plz help! I used FEAR to benchmark and fps averaged the same with Asus and
Omega....

Omegas are slightly faster than stock.. when I used to overclock my GPU.. I would use NHC instead of ATi Tray Tools.. since I use NHC to undervolt already.. might as well milk it. Plus ATi Tray Tools tend to have issues with my Z70va. Make sure you completely clean out traces of the old graphics drivers before you install another.. Use DriverCleaner and then make sure your registry is free of the old installs too..

Do you have to uninstall the ATI Display Driver as well as tools etc?

Yup.. everything. This is just so that you don't run into any issues/complications when installing different drivers.

go to google.com and try searching for driver cleaner pro or something. It is free and can help you find all ati things for you to remove . Thus, of course is something you do after doing it in add/remove and all in safe mode.

Well I did do a clean install of XP Pro, following with the latest OMEGA drivers and eh... it has problems. I would not suggest Omega drivers 5.12 for our Z70va.

I had problemz with the rez being only 1280x1024 until either a restart or a few restarts.

It would sometimes just lock up but mouse can move which is weird. Nothing else though so you would be force to do manual shut down (hold power button).

I say go back to Asus's latest or ATI's (Asus's is better) and if u must o/c. Use the NHC's ATI tool. It wasn't that much of a difference as far as speed anyways.

By any chance, did you have ATi Tray Tools installed along with the Omega driver during setup? If so.. then that's the reason for the issues you had.
