I just installed the card and updated the drivers and set have the volume on it set to loud and I can barely hear the sound coming out of the notebook speakers. Is the card made just to be loud when it's hooked up to regular speakers?

You need to turn the volume up to full on the internal sound card. The audigy plays through it.

This is off topic but evryone keeps mentioning checking internal speaker box. Well I have all the latest updates and I cant find this feature anywhere. Most of the time My laptop stays stationary and hooked up to my Z-5300 5.1 speakers it is moreless a desktop replacement. But I would love to be able to use this feature in the future so can someone please tell me how to get to this feature to use internal speakers PLEASE much thanks to whoever can point me in the right direction . Man this sound card and speakers rock

Here are the steps I take to resolve this:

1. Take out the Soundblaster
2. wait for internal sound card to redetect
3. turn volume up to max
4. put back in the soundblaster

The internal sound card does affect the soudblasters sound and you cant change it with the soundbaster in. It must be done with it not connected.

Sorry if this does not help you

You have an audigy! Don't use your notebook speakers dumbass! j/j mine does the same, my solution is that if i dont have it plugged into my speakers i use headphones.
