Bah, mine shipped the 2nd and I got a free upgrade to next day air. Here it is the 4th and it still hasn't left the place of origin yet...

Well, UPS says tomorrow so hopefully it will get here soon.

Yeah, getting it to the carrier's regional office takes a lot longer than I ever expected. I checked my order status like 10 times that day, and each time, it was still saying that it was "In Transit to Carrier".

Woot!!! it finally came in today. Iinstalled the slot drive and that works well too. Windows MCE is nice as well I just have to get used to it.

I will post more later, too busy having fun with the new toy/tool!

Doesn't anyone get tired of Thread after thread of "how long does it take..." posts?
If anyone would do a quick search.. They'd likely find a general answer. Even then.. At best it is just an estimate...
I completely understand the excitement/anticipation of getting their new toy.. But holy moly.. Seems like nearly 1/3 of all threads here end up being questions about how long it takes.. Or why haven't I gotten it yet, or Mine is still in boxing, wtf?

Well, after hearing about people getting their laptops in 6 days after order, and seeing my estimated ship date being more than two weeks after i put in my order, i decided to make a thread to ask for some opinions. If it really bugged you that much you could just ignore it. Just my 2cents.

Yeah, there was no need to butt in with your negative opinion, especially when the thread didn't concern you at all. The title of the thread pretty much gives away the subject within the thread, so you could have scrolled right on by.

You ordered yours a few days before I did and mine in testing now too. I guess the screen is what was holding them up.

So where is the laptop now? Still at dell? Mine took about 3 weeks to arrive and it arrived on the estimated ship date....here in Oz it seems to work that way.....

Well...this morning I almost had a heart attack, i awoke to my laptop being back in the "In Production" Stage..I got on dell chat and they said it had a malfunctioning part and was being sent to corrections. Within 15 minutes i was back up to boxing and that is where she stays for now. Estimated shipping date is the 12th, im expecting delivery either wednesday or thursday.

Well, mine went to shipping the 11th and by the time it showed any tracking information on Dells sight it was out for delivery. Hope you get yours soon.

the web thing sux.
call 1800-433-9014 with your order number. its more accurate.

according to them mines been in build phase for like 6 days now. =-( i ordered it on the 8th.

i aswell ordered it with a 6800, so thats what i think the hold up is.

also, they screwed my email up, so i had to call to get order confirmation and give them another email =-\
