was doing some photoshop on a night sky and THERE! THERE IN THE LOWER LEFT CORNER! a red "star" that didn't scroll with the rest of the picture!

after almost 2 years of 1400x1050 perfection...

The really bad thing is that now that you have seen it no matter where you look or what you are doing your eyes will always go straight to it. Ignorance is bliss.....

a "dead pixel fixer" might do the job, basically it flashes green, red, black, white and blue in a loop...have you tried one yet? if not you can check this one that i found on WidowPC:

it's worth the shot, it fixed one on my PSP

thanks guy! will try!
so it's like a loose connection?
I'm just afraid it'll go the other way -- spread in a uncool (but cool looking) viral fashion like the TVs...

i gunna try that cuz i got 1 dead pixel right in the middle of my screen, ok i can ignore it, but i know its there and its bugging me, last dead pixel thingy i tried only worked for 30 seconds then you had to restart it again, and needles to say it didnt do jack, but i will give your link a try and see how it goes.

EDIT:

shiat, it was the same one i had before and it didnt do anything, tbh i think the pixel is DEAD, and not just stuck on a certain colour.

I will try again but i need it on repeat as it says it best to run for 6+ hours ?

AW will replace the LCD is there is at least 1 dead pixel in the middle of the screen if it is still under warranty.
