Tee Hee.....These machines are Clevo D900's, many many companies are selling these, each to thier own configs, but yet the same model pc.......I dont think its a recall issue.....I hope you get the problem sorted though...

They all have the same chassie, but their VERY diff from other companies. AW uses the best available, which usualy means its gonna be hot and might break But i'm deff rooting for a custom heavy duty AW gamming laptop from AW. (custom inside and out!)

Man this is getting crazy, got the part that will fix my lappy and told to wait 24 hours so a guy can schedule a time to fix it. Im thinkin all right about time. One week later i get an e-mail asking me to fill out a survey on how the onsite service was.......Where the F... was I. I give AW a call no hold this time wooohoooo... I explain the situation..tech support was nice and apologized. I was told I would definitely get a call within 24 hours this time....3 days later...still no call. I call back explain the situation..stating I dont have much time to get it fixed because im going overseas. Another apology told me to wait again and this time for sure I would get a call. Back to waiting.

I wouldnt even really be having much issues with them if they just told me hey your gonna eventually get a call this month so we can schedule a time next month to fix your computer. Nothing bugs me more than empty promises...just give me a time and stick to it. Even if its as broad as a month! Im really starting to think there going to do this until my warranty runs out....lol. Evil bastards. Clever but evil.

Sorry for putting down AW lap tops to all you AW fans...I know you guys are defending the name on here..im just one of the few that got the short end of the stick...hope none of this happens to ya.

Yeah its a drag man and I hate to hear it. The only thing I would add at this point would be for the perspective AW buyer...when buying your system get to know your saleperson. Once the config/sale is done and passed off to production/CS/TS etc. you still may have an avenue to resolve issues by calling or emailing your salesperson directly?

Getting Tired of calling AW tech support over and over again for this tech guy to come up and fix my lap top. Headed overseas in a couple of days can anyone give me a step by step instruction on how to replace the inverter board myself. Keep in mind im not very computer savy. Appreciate all the help..cant rely on the AW tech people all they say now is wait another 24 hours were sure there gonna call you this time. Lol just found out they have a headquarters 20 miles down from my house but wont accept drop offs. Blahh.

why didnt you just send it to them for diagnostics and repair when you first posted the issue last year?. you would have had it back a while ago and been done with this already?

Now you 'Are Killin' Me' again. Don't know what else to say...except some excellent space music can be heard from a band named Gong. Good luck Doc. I really hope you get it fixed to your satisfaction soon!

That option wasnt given to me at first...when I talked with them last they finaly gave up on there onsite personel and told me to go ahead and ship it to them to be fixed. That was there last option. Then they told me that my harddrive would have to be erased in order to fix my inverter board...That raised my redflag..I dont have the current resources at where im at to back up my harddrive as I am currently sending this post via internet cafe. And The original tech support originaly told me they would have the comp fixed within the week, "We will send the part and on site will call in 24 hours upon the parts arrival". If they had just told me to send it in the first time I would have.
