Can I move my T30 hard disk to newer Thinkpad?

I think my T30 has an 11GB 2.5" hard drive and I want to move it to a newer, faster Thinkpad without having to alter/reinstall Widows 2000 and all my programs. Can this be done? If yes, which ThinkPads would accept my old drive?

Every laptop harddrive will fit in every laptop. They all use a 2.5" drive with the same interface. You could also use a program like norton ghost or whatever to create an image of your current harddrive (including os) so that you can just pop the new drive in and it will be the same as your old one, but more space, faster, etc.

jmm, I realize the drive will fit. I'm looking for a solution that will retain the installed OS and programs.. without a Norton Ghost type utility.
