Switching to mac, but which one?

Okay, so here is what i'm thinking about.

I could get a super nice 17" powerbook with 1.67ghz processor and 120gb harddrive with 1gb RAM new in box, OR....

I could get a 17" powerbook with a 1.5ghz processor with 80gb harddrive, and a 12" powerbook.

Now, the 1.67 is the newer revision, but do the 1.5ghz and the 1.67ghz models of the 17" both have the higher resolution screen?

What should I do?

Is there really all that much difference from the 1.33ghz models to the 1.67ghz models?

Only the NEW 1.67 17s have the high resolution screen. The 1.67s and everything else before the latest revisions have the 1400x900 screens.
