I made the switch from a PC to an apple in October. I am happy with it. I bought this at Apple Store. Thank God they opened one here in San Antonio recently. First Apple store is a Art Gallery and then it is computer store. There was abundant help. The people were very knowledgeable and friendly.
I was a PC user all my life. I am not saying Apple is better than PC. I could care less. I bought this laptop because it looked so cool when I saw at a Comp USA store a year back. I convinced myself that Apples are way too expensive for the specs. After going through two Dell Laptops in the mean time (Inspiron 9100 and 700m) I was still in the hunt for a laptop that looked cool, had a cool trinkets, Very good build quality, Desktop Replacement style with weight and battery life being one of the main factors since I traveled a lot and since the computer is going to be my only computer I wanted good screen size for photos and movies. I dont game at all. I did some research and I came with 3 contenders
1. Apple PB 15
2. IBM T43
3. Dell 610 (My Friend has one)
I went to the Apple store again and I was sold. There was no looking back. I will tell this an APPLE IS WORTH EVERY PENNY for the stuff it offers.
IT IS THE LITTLE STUFF THAT MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE.
Opening the Box is a ceremony by itself. You are amazed to see how much attention Apple pays to details. It comes loaded with software. You can just open the laptop and then straight connect to the net. The keyboard is a dream to type on. It is so smooth litterally you are able to type faster. It has the automatic light sensor to automatically adjust your screen brightness and also illiminates the Keyboard. In short it is a great computer worth the money. I know there are lot of great reviews on the web. I just wanted to post some pics from various angles (A picture is worth 1000 Words...or something like that ) It is not a huge computer. You see it is almost the size of a Dell 700m with the extended battery. I also bought an 60G iPOD and Apple Mighty Mouse. It is one of the best Mouse I have used. I did not go with the Bluetooth one for two reasons 1. Battery Life
2. I needed a two button mouse.
You know what is cool the Glowing Apple behind the SCREEN.
If you guys have any questions I will be more than happy to answer. I will soon add more pictures to this thread and also write an idepth review of the machine from my perspective.
